Aircraft purchase analysis

Model the economics of a candidate aircraft before you buy it, starting from an FAA registry lookup.

Building a scenario

  1. 1Open Finance → Purchase Analysis and enter the tail number. The FAA registry lookup fills in make, model, year and registration details.
  2. 2Enter purchase price, financing terms, and expected annual hours.
  3. 3Enter operating assumptions: fuel burn and price, insurance, hangar, maintenance and engine/prop reserves.
  4. 4The model returns cost per hour, break-even hours and the rate you would need to charge.

Using the result

  • Compare the required hourly rate against what the club currently charges for a comparable tail.
  • Reserve assumptions here should match the reserve accounts you keep per aircraft, so the plan and the books agree.
  • Nothing in the analyzer touches live fleet or billing data — it is a planning tool only.
