A first-class medical is no longer the gate. BasicMed covers the club fleet for personal flying, and our aircraft are well inside its weight and seat limits.
A panel you will respect
Cirrus SR20-G2 with Avidyne glass, ADS-B In/Out, DFC 100 autopilot and CAPS. Familiar automation logic, real IFR capability, and an airframe maintained on a tracked program.
No ownership, no partners
No annual surprise, no hangar lease, no co-owner texting you about the alternator. Dues plus a wet hourly rate, and the club handles insurance and maintenance.
Weekday ramp, not a rental line
Members-only scheduling means the airplane is clean, fueled and where it should be — most retired members fly midweek when the fleet is wide open.
Mentor if you want to
Many retired captains join and eventually instruct or mentor students. If you hold a CFI, A4 pays approved instructors directly — you never invoice a student.
Currency without the grind
The portal tracks day and night landings, IFR approaches, holds and your flight review date, so currency is a glance rather than a logbook audit.
Getting started
What the first month looks like.
1 — Apply and get verified
Membership application plus an FAA Airmen Registry check. Your certificates and ratings carry over exactly as they are.
2 — Club checkout
A checkout with an A4-approved CFI covering aircraft systems, CAPS, avionics flow and local procedures. For experienced pilots this is usually short.
3 — Fly on your own schedule
Book online, dispatch from your phone, fly, check in with a post-flight inspection. One invoice at the end of the month.

Our facility
Based at Sheltair, the full-service FBO at KDTO.
A4Flight Academy flies from Sheltair at Denton Enterprise Airport — the field's full-service FBO. Members and visiting pilots check in through the Sheltair lobby, and our aircraft sit on that ramp.

Sheltair is a CAA-approved location and participates in ARINC Direct, AVCARD and UVair fuel programs. Posted fuel prices and services are set by Sheltair — call the FBO at 940-297-6411 for current pricing, hangar availability and after-hours arrangements.
