Flight school for the DFW area
A4Flight Academy trains Part 61 at Denton Enterprise Airport, twenty-five nautical miles north of DFW. Aircraft, instruction and dues arrive on one club invoice — and every hourly rate is wet.
Programs
What you can train for here.
Sport pilot
The fastest, lowest-cost route to flying yourself, taught in the club's Jabiru light sport aircraft.
Private pilot (Part 61)
Flexible Part 61 scheduling with an A4-approved contract CFI, in light sport or the Cirrus SR20-G2.
Instrument rating
IFR work in a glass-panel SR20-G2 with real Class B airspace a short flight south.
Time building
Hour building toward a commercial certificate at the lowest wet rate in the fleet.
Why here
A DFW flight school without the airline traffic.
Pilots drive to KDTO from Denton, Frisco, Flower Mound, Argyle, Lewisville, Plano, Keller and north Fort Worth because the field is towered, uncongested, and minutes from open practice areas.
Less time waiting
No airline sequencing means more of your paid hour is spent flying instead of holding short.
Published wet rates
Fuel is included in every hourly rate, so your training budget is predictable from day one.
One invoice
Aircraft time, instruction and dues on a single club statement. The club pays your CFI directly.
Billing
One invoice. The club handles all of it.
A4 handles all billing, including instruction. Aircraft time at the published wet rate, instruction and membership dues arrive on a single club invoice — you never settle up separately with your CFI, and instructors never chase students for payment. The club pays approved CFIs directly.
The fleet
Three aircraft, published wet rates.

Fuel math
Wet rates, checked against the pump.
Set today's fuel price and compare the club's wet rate with a dry rate plus fuel.
- Club wet rate
- $250.00 / hr
- Fuel at 10.5 gph
- $64.58 / hr
- Equivalent dry rate
- $185.43 / hr
The club rate includes fuel. To compare against a dry rental, add the fuel line above to that rental's posted hourly rate. Instruction, when you fly with a club CFI, appears on the same club invoice — one invoice, everything included.
