How A4Flight Academy works
A members-only Part 61 flying club at Denton Enterprise Airport (KDTO) with three aircraft and A4-approved contract instructors.
The club in one page
A4Flight Academy is a members-only flying club based at Sheltair FBO, Denton Enterprise Airport (KDTO). Members book club aircraft online, fly under Part 61, and receive instruction from A4-approved independent contractor CFIs.
- Three aircraft: N779J "Juliette" (available now), N94RS and N36PL (coming soon).
- Hourly rates are wet — fuel is included in the rate.
- One invoice covers aircraft time and instruction. You never settle up separately with your CFI.
- Everything — scheduling, dispatch, training records, documents and billing — lives in the member portal.
Who does what
| Role | What they do in the portal |
|---|---|
| Member / pilot | Books aircraft, dispatches flights, logs time, views invoices and documents. |
| Student | Everything a member does, plus the Flight Academy syllabus and worksheets. |
| Instructor (CFI) | Manages assigned students, grades worksheets, signs off lessons and endorsements. |
| Chief instructor (CFI-C) | Instructor access plus curriculum oversight and stage-check review. |
| Mechanic | Works squawks, records maintenance actions, and clears airworthiness items. |
| Owner | Sees utilisation, expenses and revenue for aircraft they hold a share in. |
| Admin | Full access: members, applications, finance, payments, and website content. |
Roles stack. Most students also hold the member role so they appear in the directory and can book aircraft.
