It has a control tower, Class D airspace underlying the DFW Class B, and — increasingly — a development pipeline that looks more like a business airport than a sleepy GA field. ## What's under construction or approved - In June 2025 the City of Denton approved a 40-year lease clearing the way for a roughly $21 million hangar development at the airport. - High Flying Hangars announced plans for 44 private hangars at Denton Enterprise Airport, reported in October 2025. - Masco Service Corporation filed to build a nearly 21,000 sq ft hangar and avionics shop near the airport entrance at Skylane and Airport Road — a $3.5 million project with completion targeted for 2027. ## Why based pilots should care Three practical effects. First, hangar supply: North Texas hangar waitlists have been long for years, and 44 new private units is real relief for owners who have been tying down outside in hail country.
