Old, crappy airplanes. Enough was enough. We built the school we wanted. From our first aircraft to the club we fly with today. The story is ours, and so are the photographs. Our full story in pictures Chapter 01 ### Where it started Round gauges. Well-worn rentals. A route plan propped against the windshield and a hangar the snakes got to first. We flew them anyway — then one morning we said enough. Autopilots. Real cross-country range. The Cirrus SR20s changed what an ordinary Tuesday could look like. As a Certified Flight Instructor with Instrument and Multi-Engine ratings, he is committed to developing safe, skilled pilots and providing exceptional training experiences. Flying wasn't on his radar growing up — he spent the better part of eight years in the trades before making the jump to aviation and moving to Texas. He always watched the sky, tracking CAL FIRE aircraft in and out of their Sacramento base, and after a discovery flight in Auburn he knew he was in the wrong profession. With a wife willing to move 1,500 miles so he could chase the passion, he settled in Texas and now works to give every student an aviation experience that is fulfilling and rewarding. He started as a lead mechanic at Air Desert Pacific in California, then worked as a mechanic and inspector at Broadie's Aircraft and US Aviation Group in the Fort Worth–Denton area. He went on to serve as a Senior Inspector at Aviall, a Boeing company, and spent over a decade at Aviation Technical Services as Quality Assurance Manager and Quality Manager for Components. He later led quality work at Aerospace Quality Research and Development and Airline Component Parts. Since 2023 he has owned Aero Bear Aviation in Denton, bringing airline-level inspection standards and careful record-keeping to every airplane we fly.
